Ra Ra (# 738) is a little gentleman and a true lap dog. This heart breaker is estimated to be around 8 to 10 years old, but his life as a pug is only just beginning. Now that he is finding out what it feels like to have a warm place to sleep, food to eat, and people to love…well, he simply cannot get enough affection. His foster describes him as an incredibly sweet dog that is cuddly and snuggly. Ra Ra always wants to be with you and if you are in a seated position, he is going burrow in beside you and place his front paws and head in your lap.

Ra Ra gets eye drops twice a day because he doesn’t produce tears on his own and has dry eye when he wakes up. This takes only seconds and isn’t a big deal. His vision is good, but his depth perception is off so he just takes a little more time to become familiar with an area. He could be hard of hearing or he could just have a pug condition known as “selective hearing”.

As you can see, Ra Ra is a handsome pug with the cutest face and a little tongue that peeks out of the front of his mouth creating some adorable expressions. He doesn’t have many teeth so he likes soft treats. He has one tooth that peeks out most of the time so that his foster family lovingly calls him “snaggletooth”.

This rescued pug is certainly grateful for his new life and shows you his gratitude in the affection he bestows upon you. He has been a good boy that is crate trained and now “sits” on command. When his foster mom says “Okay boys, it is time for bed” he’ll sometimes go right to bed and then other times he’ll plead and beg, “please don’t make me go”….before finally getting into bed. His foster mom says the voice he uses is like someone that has smoked for years and the family thinks he sounds like an Ewok from Star Wars when he complains…it sets everyone off laughing and they all find his antics hilarious.

Ra Ra is a sweetheart of a pug that wants to have a family to call his own. He is doing everything he can to show he deserves a family. He is even learning to whimper at the door when he has to go potty to let you know he needs to go out. He is starting to show interest in toys and is playing more with braided rope toys. He has a fascination with his foster dad’s shoes and pants legs playing and tugging on them. He likes hanging around outside and really enjoys a walk. He does well on a leash. Do you have room in your life for a pug with a passive temperament that just wants to be loved?
