Buddy
(# 951) is a very sweet and loving 14 year old
boy. He loves to be rubbed anywhere and will lick your
leg to get your attention. He is very good with other
dogs and cats, everyone is his friend. Due to his age he
sleeps long and soundly but is quite willing to go on
walks and investigate the outdoors.
Buddy has loss of some vision due to an untreated dry
eye condition for most of his life. He also has lost
most of his hearing due to untreated lifelong chronic
ear infections. He will need to be treated for both for
the rest of his life.
Buddy would do best with another dog to "buddy" him. He
prefers to sleep with another dog in the same dog bed
and follows the other dog around. He also is more
cautious than most Pugs around steps. I takes him some
time to learn to go up 3 or 4 steps and he has not
learned to go down at all. This is probably due to his
poor vision.
Buddy would probably do better in a home without small
children due to his vision issues as he doesn't know
when he's in the way or walking into or on someone
sometimes.
