Adoption Application
PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION!
Our primary locations are Indiana and Kentucky! If you are outside of the states of Kentucky and Indiana, we will consider adopting to you but you must be willing to travel and pugs will be adopted to homes inside our states first, please visit www.petfinder.org. Thank you!
KPR will not adopt to anyone with unaltered pets. If you have any dogs in your household that are not spayed or neutered, please do not submit an application. We have very strong feelings about the pet overpopulation and feel that all pets should be spayed and neutered. Thank you!
Adoption Donations are NOT negotiable. We understand that you may not agree, but we ask that you respect our policies. Please understand that we spend much more on medical bills than we recover in adoption donations for most of the Pugs we rescue, especially our senior Pugs.
Our Pugs do not come with a guarantee of physical condition. All of our rescued Pugs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on routine vaccinations, fecal tested and heartworm negative prior to placement. Although we do provide the medical treatment and testing listed above, please remember that our Pugs are rescues and therefore we have no way of guaranteeing that they will not have medical issues in the future.
Due to the fluid nature of rescue WE ARE UNABLE to discuss particular dogs in rescue unless you have an approved application, this communication should take place with your adoption coordinator. If you leave a voicemail it will likely not be returned, please check your emails for updates (check junk and trash folders as well).
Young dogs and puppies are very rare in rescue. If you are looking for a younger dog there will likely be a wait.
We do maintain a waiting list and will make every effort to update you along the way.
